1997 S90 2.9 performance increase

Hi guys,
I would like to increase the performance/power of my s90 '97 model ... where can I start?
I made an enquiry as to remapping the ecu but the response was that it would be "too difficult as the ecu's are very limited and too much work to go through...if possible".
Does anyone have any experience in this?

You won't find much in the way of performance mods because the 900 series was designed to haul people in comfort not haul ass. No market for performance mods because that is not the kind of people that bought 900 series cars.

What you want to do, just give it a little more pep or turn it into a sleeper street racer?
How many miles/kilometers does the engine have on it?
