The Pioneer active subwoofer manual tells me to connect the + to the fuse box. Can't I use the (yellow) accessory outlet above the brake pedal? It's supposed to deliver 20A and the subwoofer only uses a maximum of 7A. Any reason Pioneer doesn't mention this as an option since most cars (?) have an accessory outlet?

Some notes on installing the Volvo 9452029 amplifier in a 1998 V70. Easy job once you know about the hidden features and have the right parts. The carpet on the transmission tunnel pulled right out from under the various trim pieces and refit just as easily. As an audiophile, I can tell you that the sonic benefit is well worth the effort. If you have never removed your front seats go on Youtube and learn how to not trigger the side airbag before proceeding!

I actually never secured mine after installing, it's just stayed in place. Good to now about the bolt holes under the carpet... I'll have to punch those out and bolt it down!
I must say, your carpet is very clean!

What’s the red wire running by the seat? Is that the heated third seat option ?

Red wire charges my cell phone.

Coil cord powers the V1..
