Hey everyone,
I'm driving a Volvo S70 that needs a few repairs. I recently got my car checked out at the Nashville Volvo dealership and they've determined the following:
- PCV needs to be replaced
- Anti-lock brake system needs to be replaced (issues with the speedometer dropping out/generally not functioning)
- Ignition switch/tumblers need to be replaced (car gets stuck in park after firing up, jiggling the key fixes this)
- Front axle needs replacing on both sides, particularly the right side (there's a seal that's leaking transmission fluid)
For anybody in the Nashville area that is familiar with the mechanic shops or has had their Volvo serviced in Nashville, who do you recommend?
For obvious reasons I don't want to fork over thousands to the dealership (especially not the $1,300 they're asking for the ignition switch job).
In spite of the issues that have been found, this car drives great and I've had no issues with it, I just know that there are things that should be replaced before they become real issues.
Thank you very much for your time and responses!

The only one you need to jump on is the pCV. Perform the glove test and see how much pressure is in your crankcase-if it is high then relieve it with the hose method to stop your seals from blowing
Then wait for Robert and fix your car yourself, and then write him a nice check for his labor. Make sure your pets are healthy before inviting him in.
