1996 850R Rims Needed

S60 to 09, V/XC 70 -07 will work. they typically have a 49mm offset. Not tried S80. The P2 Volvos have a 65.1mm center bore. P3 drop to a 63.4 (?)mm.

I have 2 sets of 17" P2 rims on my 00 V70R. Running 225/45/17 tires. Only issue so far is the rears can jam on the rear sub-frame if you extend the suspension to max when jacking the car. Not an issue with FWD only AWD. With FWD, check the parking brake cables don't rub on the inner side of the tire/rim when going over 43mm. 49mm will probably be ok, but make sure the parking brake cable is riveted back with a tie to the rear trailing arm to prevent the cable rubbing.

I've seen S80 Canopus "uglies" on multiple P80s, so it's likely to be a direct fit.

My biggest issue is that I jumped a median causing the cracked rims and tires. I am trying to assess the damage, but the volvo mechanic says that it is hard if the car is not running...so just looking to get some replacements for now.

Anyone know what could have possibly broken underneath? I hope I am not in for too much money.

Not sure how the impact would have cracked the rims.

Bent suspension parts like lower control arms, bent struts,brake damage possibly, and sub-frame damage. Also check the radiator, and anything attached to it at the bottom and the oil pan.

I have S80 factory alloys on my 850 for winter tyres 205/55/16.
It is direct fit as long as you don't go wider than 205 tyres because of ET 49.
Factory ET for 850 is 43.

Regarding the rims:

What would be better...getting some original non refurbished volan wheels (might have some minor chips and curb damage) or a set of original volan refurbished wheels from a company?

Were the original wheels powder coated or painted?

I don't think they were powder coated from the factory. I would just get a used set unless the rest of the car is totally immaculate. Unless you want them to be perfect, I don't see the need to spend the extra money someone would charge for a refurbished set.

I'd consider to just get the cheapest set of rolling Volvo wheels-with-tires you can, from the junkyard. That will get it rolling so you can assess the damage. It could take a while to find the Volans you really want to have on the car long term.
