Congrats on 200K Miles Abscate!

The parts car didn’t work out so I ordered most of my new coolant hoses and vacuum lines today. It had silicone hoses I was going to use.

Was reading about ATP AT-205 in some old posts here and picked that up as well. Maybe it addresses my leaky VVT seal, but even if not I’m sure a little plasticizing action on the valve stem seals will help me get to Abscate’s mileage without having to get a valve job done.

Congrats, Abscate! That's one beautiful V70! And snazzy steel wheels.

Mine have more than their fair share of dings from rough NYC living.

This is me with Subaru Bajas

Today, after checking the oil, I'm wondering about the 'blue instrument cluster' thing; when I look at specs for the Falcon it's listed, but this car doesn't have it. Did all '99 V70Rs have them stock or was it an option? I can't seem to find a clear answer.

That’s our house. I lost the Windows in a bet and still haven’t found enough on the street to re-window. Paints holding up well though.

Since I posted I did trans Drain and fill #2 of 3 two days ago car seems to take longer to shift up a gear from 2nd or 3rd by 3-500 RPMs.
No rough shifting, level is spot on and seems to be gradually normalizing (or I’m getting used to it). Actually makes for a better driving experience on the highway.
It’s just interesting because my first drain and fill the car was ice cold and I noticed literally no change. This time the car had probably only been parked for 10 minutes before I had the drain plug out so it was very hot.
Maybe unrelated, just seems draining warmer fluid may have had more impact.
