Any ideas out there for sources for "Volvo Blue" spray paints, for high heat engine parts, wheel center caps, or plastics?
I'm not even sure what "Volvo Blue" is these days.... the blue in the logo and ads and parts boxes? (that's kinda what I'm thinking about). The logo blue on the badges is probably a different color that the print color.
The blue on ipd intercooler hoses? They're much brighter I think, and they vary by production date and photo.
The Polestar blue, which is really more of a crazy electric baby blue? Totally different color...
The closest I've found on the intertoobs is Old Ford Blue, which is a bit lighter than the modern Ford Blue advertised.
You've got your Duplicolor, your VHT, your Rustoleum, your Eastwood (which might be Duplicolor), and maybe others.
I see reference to Pantone blue 072C, but I don't know if the typical automotive paint shop can mix cans to a Pantone number.
Found a corporate colors reference to "Prussian Blue"...
Name: Prussian Blue
Hex: #003057
RGB: (0, 48, 87)
CMYK: 1, 0.448, 0, 0.658
https://www.schemecolor.com/sample?getcolor=003057
Just curious what others have found in off the shelf spray or custom mixed spray.
Thanks!

Bring a parts box to a place where they can scan items for colours and you're done. And yes it's a different colour from the one used on the ford era badges.
The Polestar colour is called Rebel Blue in Volvo-speak. I'm guessing it should be possible to get a colour code from that through a paint shop.

Larger companies like Volvo will vary the corporate colors depending on the use.. television, print, backlit signs, on product etc.
Don't expect 'Volvo Blue' grabbed from a logo or background on the corporate website to be the same shade/color used for the badging on an actual car.
If it's on car badging you're trying to imitate, have fun. Most of that has a mirror reflective chrome effect. Anything you do with standard or metallic flake paint is likely to end up looking dull and uninspiring.
