2006 Volvo XC90 V8 O2 Sensor Location

I recently had a check engine light come on so I read the code with my isoft and it indicated H02s heater control circuit low BANK 1 SENSOR 1. I have searched all over the internet to finds O2 sensor locations on my vehicle but had no luck. Could anyone help me out with this? Much appreciated.

Just look at the exhaust manifold and it will be the first O2 sensor on Bank 1. The second one appears to be part of the second set of cats which run parallel to the ground.

Go to Ebay, type in Volvo V8 exhaust, limit to "used" and look at the pictures and you will see the various pieces and some of the used ones even have the O2 sensors installed.

If one is failing and your at over 100k miles I would just replace both fronts and maybe even the back depending on your budget.

Believe bank1 is towards the front of the car, bank2 is towards the rear of the car. The first set of sensors (upper or upstream) is PN 30713594 for bank1, PN 30751864 for bank2. The second set of sensors (lower or downstream) is PN 30713592 for bank1, PN 30751865 for bank2.

A review of a few sites suggests Denso branded parts could work, Denso PN 2349152 for both upstream banks, Denso PN 2344453 for downstream bank1, and Denso PN 2344451 for downstream bank2. I have personally not installed these on my car so cannot comment about performance, just see a cross-reference listed and the V8 uses a Denso ECM so maybe some logic there.

Kinda curious, did you clear the error and it came back? Consistent error, not a one-off?
