12 days later and it isn't dripping anymore. I'll chalk it up as an $11 win.

My 98 V70 has an incredibly bad rear main seal. I'll buy another bottle for that next week and see what happens.

Ya this stuff seems to work so far. Been two weeks so probably 4-500 miles of driving and there is less oil on my cam cover than on any of these cars I’ve ever had.

Was regularly leaking on there.

Told a cst at work about it as well when she was rightfully hesitant to throw several grand into oil leaks on a 180K Tiguan. Until further notice I am sold on this stuff.

My RMS was leaking quite badly. Even more after switching to M1 0W-40. 15 hours of ATP fixed that. It's been potty trained for over a year now!

I said before I used Blue Devil RMS sealer on the 97 850 base I ran down to California a couple of years ago. Had stopped near Reno and noticed a small oil pool after overnight stop. Filled with the Blue Devil and by the time we got to Santa Rosa CA. it was bone dry (about 500 miles or so). Still dry 18 months later I'm told. So these products can work. Presumably not the same as replacing the RMS, but it may well save many of the old P80's where the expense of the repair way out weighs the value of the vehicle, especially if the leak is caught early, and the PCV is clean.

It has odour and consistency of organic ethers
Before I threw the bottle out I think it said glycol ether
Hmmm. Brake fluid.
Mike says most stop leak is break fluid or a thickening agent. I was curious about this product so I ordered some from Amazon which came today. Sure enough it smells like break fluid. Mike says the break fluid type sealers ruin all the seals so it is better to just fix the leak. My engine has no leaks so I will not be pouring it in my oil.

If a product really did keep seals conditioned that would be a great product. If anyone has analyzed this product please chime in. June
