What's it worth? '04 V70 235K

So I have a '04 V70 Titanium Edition (1-500) or maybe it's called Platinum with 235K I believe 3rd owner with 3" file folder of records, 2 sets of mounted tire one season each with Michelin winter (205's X 16 after market wheel), Kumho 235 X17, I bought it with 107K in Ohio 10.2013, Maintained by local import shop, with every thing done by the manual, OEM parts. I believe only part other than expendable items was a temp. sensor at air inlet. Garage kept, detailed 2x a year, no known paint work except roof rails and maybe at some point drip rails? Drivers seat heater doesn't work, e-brake hardware removed, Zeion? headlights, 3rd seat, basic radio, shocks and many suspension items 40K ago, timing belt at 205K. Just would like to know what it is worth now.

I'm not in the US so don't know the numbers, but with all OEM repairs especially on the suspension and assuming good condition of the transmission and of PCV, I would still pay for it some decent money. What is important for me is to see plenty of repairs done with original parts. These can go much more than 250K (see video)

But it is true that high miles commend lower prices because of the market. It looks good paint wise so that will help selling it at a reasonable price hopefully.

To a private buyer, maybe $1869-$3710 in very good condition. You should plug in your specific options and location to get a range. I didn't see a specific option for the "Titanium" or "Platinum" package.

A 14 year old car with 235K will scare many away.
My '02 base with 198K and a hefty list of maintenance/repairs sold last year for US$2,500.
A few people called. I listed it right after New Year's...then there was snow...then the FIRST TESTDRIVER bought it.
I'll assume I could've gotten a bit more. How much more for how much effort?

With an internet ad and the right, intrepid buyer who knows Volvos, you could get $3,000.
The white roof rails and trim might spook people. Being a precious metal edition mightn't mean anything to many.
Also, as less expensive cars for youngsters go, there'll be few parents who'll OK a 235K car for their new driver UNLESS THEY KNOW VOLVOS.
Place free ads in every Volvo board you can.

Odd how a "special edition" has a basic radio.
I organized my maintenance/repairs into chronological lists so prospective buyers can "see" them.

It's funny, saying, "I priced it below Kelley" might sound enticing or could sound prerecorded and stonewallish. "This is what you should pay and live humans can't argue with dead Kelley".
Know what I mean?

Is removal of the handbrake hardware akin to removing potentially troublesome wisdom teeth?
"Hey man, there's no emergency brake" could be the dealbreaker of all time...especially if one grabs the handle and it zips to the ceiling without resistance at all.
What's the story with that?

Few months ago I got a 2005 XC70 w/ 216k miles for $2200. Not too clean, not too well maintained, had a front end accident in 2006, headlights, engine radiator and A/C radiator were Chinese/Taiwan aftermarket, AWD not working (stripped collar sleeve), dirty engine, transmission with one ATF change recorded at ~100k miles, worn out suspension, axles, driveshaft. But the car was able to drive and even pass inspection. All of that did not bother me, since I only needed an intact body to do a swap.

I was thinking $2500 less the handbrake repair. You need it to pass inspection in my state.

Georgeandkira might have raised a great question about the white roof rails, but they are more like dull stainless steel with a clear coat, or the color of high dollar titanium, or platinum which I don't have any to compare. It was a $1800? option in '04 only. Easy to recognize in the Wal-Mart parking lot!

Mayor- Any luck selling your car? Just wanted to drop my opinion- You may have better luck pricing what YOU think the car is worth and waiting for some Volvo nut like one of us to come along looking for this special edition. I would have paid an arm and a leg for an 850 Platinum edition before I found mine

Plus, it would be a shame for something that is 1/500 to go to someone who is indifferent of what they are driving.
