I know we have the ability to tell the display to allow for additional XX gallons or liters (multiple choices) in VIDA. Is there a way to REMOVE a said number of gallons? Currently it looks like it is set for +2 gallons. I see no way to zero it or remove amounts. I currently have burned through 14 gallons by the time I have 6 remaining on the fuel gauge. From my understanding my tank is ~16.x gallons.
Could this be a single sensor acting up? The reason I ask is I had a "Bank A" sensor error some time ago that was cured with a tank of Techron. Does the ECU calculate the error based upon delta between Bank A and Bank B sensors? Obviously they should be pretty close with exception of cornering...

Your tank capacity is: 17.4 US gals. (66 liters) All Wheel Drive
As far as the sensors and VIDA, I'm not sure, sorry.

I keep seeing everything from 17.9 to 19.3 gallons. I had thought it was lower due to the AWD so that 17.4 seems likely.

I may just have to place the 5 gallon gas can in the trunk and find out just how far off (or accurate) that gauge is...

I think I would go to the online manual or stop my and read mine on the way home. It's open, don't wake me up.

Maybe after I get a couple of hours sleep in. After my morning taxi-like services, I get to bed right around 10 AM.
I think I'll connect VIDA this morning and see if it has anything new to report.

Our rule in our house is
No less than 1/8 tank in summer
No less than 1/4 tank in winter
Exception on a long trip where of course, the strategy is can I make it to the next rest stop without running out, not wanting waste a tank of gas in case of a falling asteroid

I don't know if anyone has determined when the fuel pump cooling starts to get marginalized. Volvo says fill when the gauge hits the red area or when the yellow "Dumt Manlijus" comes on...thats swedish for low fuel, I think.
2 gallons should keep the pump happy I think. My fuel pump in my 1999 is original

So, back out to the car with VIDA once 3 months of updates apply successfully. Isn't much else I can do today =)
I think the real concerns with fuel pumps are once they suck air and have no cooling. Some in-tank pumps use the fuel for cooling.
I know when mine ended up sucking air on jack stands the fuse almost immediately blew.
