98 v70 /s70 body parts interchangeable? Topic is solved

So if anybody here has been watching my post you know the time and money I've put into my 98 v70.

Changed the oil today and decided to go grab a soda from the gas station before fixing my sagging headliner. Sure enough I smoked a deer on the way home.

The frames fine and aside from the radiator being busted nothing under the hood took a lot of damage, even my bumper is ok, but my hood, one of my fenders, my headlights, horn, and hood latches/cables, are destroyed.

They pick n pull near me has no v70s older than 2001, but they do have two 98 s70s, will anything from one of those fit me? Trying to save as much money here as I can so it's definitely junkyard parts as far as they will get me.

Yes all the front panels should be a straight swap. Sedans and wagons are the same as far as the rear of the back doors.

Hood, fenders, slam panel, radiator (assuming yours is a non-turbo, but a turbo rad can be used you just don't need to use the ports on the RHS).

That's the best news I've gotten all night, thank you! Gonna see if I can fix this thing for under $300 and a few gallons of paint, my girlfriend's uncle works in a body shop so I should be able to talk him into spraying it in the garage pretty cheap.

I wish you luck! Take a cordless drill with you in case you have to drill out the inner fender liners and mud flaps if fitted. Actually if you need those you can leave them attached if I recall correctly, but you will have to drill out the rivets at the front onto the bumper skin.

There are bolts behind the sidelight lenses for the fenders ( 2 or 3), then the bolts along the top and I think 1 or 2 hidden in the 'A' pillar that can be accessed with the door open.

I got lucky with my parts car and unloaded two doors and hood the day I stripped it to a deer hit, which covered my whole cost of car. I do remember missing the A pillar bolt at first, too

So I had a bit of bad luck, got there this morning and pick n pull had just destroyed their last 98 s70... Had two last week, now they have none. I found a 01 s70 that the hood fit from and took everything from it, but now I'm realizing that the fender has a side marker light that mine does not, are the body lines the same? I may try to make it work but if not I'll be returning it for store credit and looking at seeing if this set of rear facing seats they had in one will fit in mine.

P80's were not made for 01 model year, although a few may not have been sold and registered in 01.

If the basic body shape is the same, they panels will fit. Some countries had side marker lights in earlier years so you may find you have wiring to support it or if not, cut the wire from the side repeater as far back as you can and run wires to the front side lights and splice it in.

Hope you have better luck than me, i did the same hit a deer and wiped out the front end, picknpull had the exact colour front end so I swapped it all in and it was a half price weekend too !! next weekend hit another deer this time I had to go with a harlequin front end black greeen and silver
