Is there a relay to pull to disable door chime on my 03 V70?

Hi wonderful Volvo folks,

I have a 2003 Volvo v70, with two little ones who like to take car naps. When we are back home I hate to get out of the car because the stupid door chime starts going off which will wake them up. I did a bunch of research and haven't found a way to disable the chime on an 03 V70. Is there a relay to pull? I'd even clip a wire if it was easy to access. All the other guides and posts are for previous generation cars. I even looked through service diagrams with no luck.

Let me know if anyone knows how. Would be so convenient to be able to do this! Peace!!!

On my 2004 v70 I shut the seatbelt chime off using vida.

On a previous ford van I put a sheetmetal screw through the buzzer itself.

I think if you pull the key before you open the door you don't get the chime? Unless 2003 is different than mine?

Flashback to the twins in Volvo nap mode, 20 years ago.

Thanks for the replies you two. Abscate your right, the chime is only when the key is in the ignition. I just wanted to be able to open the door with the car running/AC on for them.

Using Vida for this model make sense. Not worth it to me to buy a device just for that but perhaps I'll get one eventually.

When the DIM (cluster) is disconnected do not put the key in the ignition or an SRS message will appear along with a warning light that can be cleared only with Vida
