What going on with it. We solved the expired subscription problem. Have gotten 2014D up and running in Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, Windows 7 Pro. All with IE11 and dot net framework 4.X installed. It looks like we have a solutions for any Windows 7 or Windows 10 except perhaps Windows 7 Starter, which is a non-issue ... who uses starter?
The only thing I have not been able to get it up and running on is my Low resource Lenovo Thinkpad Table 2 with a Atom processor.

When I get on VIDA it shows No communication tool with a
. Vida works and Dice works, they just don’t work together.
I’ve updated the DiCE software, I followed the trick in the link you sent me Rick, I deleted and reinstalled-no change.
I’m not sure what else to try

Regarding the P1081-
I’m looking through the service records of the car.
2013-axial crack between muffler and catalytic converter was welded
August 2017it had codes P1057 and P0722.
December 2017-P0420, P0600, P1057, P0722.
Then February this year when I first tested he car I had the same codes as December, moving ahead to March 3 a few weeks ago we have code p1081
So it looks like just a couple weeks ago was 1081 new...
I tested the car a little bit ago and 1081 was till the only code, I took it by the emissions place before they closed (after driving it 35 miles) it still was not ready.
Curiously...there’s a new unused (I think) ECU under the floorboard in the back of the car..
Don’t know where it came from or which owner bought it. It’s a Bosch brand ECU, I have no idea why that would be there if someone didn’t suspect an ECU issue.

Yes I did disable that.
My car has none of those symptoms. Starts just fine and never cuts out or anything of the sort.
So I went driving this evening to see what codes would come back. It took about an hour or so, but the CEL came back. I ran the codes, only new code was P0442 small evap system leak.
I have never had this code before. Good news is still no O2 or Cat codes.
From what I found through searching I need to check the J hose and Gas cap.
I know the cars gas cap is not original, I filled the car up yesterday for the 2nd time. I have not inspected the gasket on it or anything like that.
Is this a code that must be reset and driven again, or will it shut off when fixed after so long ?

Odds are the J hose is the issue as you suspect - assuming the gas cap is sealing correctly and the fuel neck is intact. The J hose tends to crack on the side not facing you or only displays itself when being flexed. My current plan is to replace mine with a piece of silicone hose with a stainless steel spring on the inside to help keep it open within the bend.
I have the sister code -- P0455 that likes to pop up. It almost exclusively happens during city driving.

Yesteday when I changed the fuel filter I noticed this tube and took a pic. I think it’s just a tube of wires but I could be wrong. I was waiting on the shop manual to come in so I could find a diagram of what this tube is...
But could it be in question for this evap code?
In the picture that is the front side of the fuel filter where the filtered fuel is heading to the fuel rail.
(Note that is the old fuel filter not the new one pictured)

If you're seeing wires then it is likely the braid in a pressurized fuel hose.
Someone that has been under in that area for more than just changing the filter likely has more to add. Sadly, that person is not I.
