There is no Volvo part number for it but there is after market replacement.
Double check everything to make sure it will work on your XC70.

Yarddog - the Volvo Lisle parts web site has a great breakdown of Volvo parts by VIN.
Great for sorting out stuff.
Good prices too.

Lady's and gentlemen, yard dog performance is proud to announce that we have found the solution to this problem. And it's a beautiful thing.
Turned out, that a 83-87 Nissan 300zx turbo,( my other car,) has the same sized u joint caps, however it has to be shimmed 0.005" on the end of each cross bar, I will post pics and instructions as soon as I get the shims made, and then my friends I'll start getting the the other issues more budget friendly options

Volvo parts places anger me. There are two stupidly expensive flaws with these cars, and all they say is we are sorry we can't tell you. Well here's what else they can't sayRickHaleParker wrote: ↑14 Mar 2018, 12:22 Yarddog - the Volvo Lisle parts web site has a great breakdown of Volvo parts by VIN

1- the etm and throttle pedal use two regular tps sensor signals
2- the nicer engine have lower compression, but the same turbocharger, and higher boost, and the low pressure system is choked out by the ecu tune
3 they don't want to shar the info but I've seen Volkswagen, and gm vehicles with fly by wire deletes

Yarddog- You can blame shady Tort Law Attorneys. They used a "ghost in the machine" argument to turn a jury against Toyota's use of throttle-by-wire. That can be reason to be careful what one says about a throttle-by-wire system.

I'm just saying it's not that complicated, and an awhole with some cash and some knowledge could cripple their few flawed issues. And I intend to get a throttle cable on this car with no issues, but I'm not testing this on a nice car, the shaft on the other hand I'm going to make sure everyone knows what I do

Yarddog: Ok now I see where your coming from.
Back in the 40s Mopar cars where crappy. The way my Dad put it, I got the impression of Yugo crappy.
My father had befriended an older man who had some money. One day …
Old Man: I like to have a Dodge dealership.
Dad: Why!? Those cars are crap.
Old Man: Yes they are. If I had a Dodge dealership, I would sell them for a dollar over invoice to get the service contract. There is a fortune to be made in servicing crap.
In short, you are trying to find away to circumnavigate obsolescence.
