VIDA Subscription

I tried to just "open" it, but the 'puter says it can't open it. So does that mean I need to burn it to a CD first? I actually downloaded a game (bad me) which is also an iso file, and the same thing... it doesn't let me. Any suggestions?

Right click on it and if it's larger than the size of a CD, then burn it to DVD...you'll have to click on "burn from ISO" or some from "CD image" or whatever the choice is for your burner.

It's on 2 different places on the net. i got it from pirate bay. I don't have a DVD burner so I downloaded a free program that simulates a DVD on the hard drive.
I would like to know where to get instructions for using VADIS. Most of the time when searching a topic it comes up with zero, but I know it's there. You can also search by operation # but where do you get the #'s?

If it is the popular version that is floating around - Totally Authentic Mind You - reset your PC clock to a date in June 2004 before installing the program. If you need numbers, try sysadmn as the user and NQZ5-XC3E-P8HD-A2SU as the password. If, at some point it screams for an activation code try DMQKF-RXTBV-FD98H-462TB-TC9FG.

This is an interesting post and i want to ask that can the VADIS software from ebay work with VIDA interface? or do i get another interface to use it with vehicle?

Hi lee, i got a volvo S40 1999 with Lost key, somehow immo box got damaged and now i need to get a replacement immo box which i have bought and need to match to ecu, can Vadis do it without downloading from Volvotechinfo?

If you have an iso file but don't want to burn to disc, either for vadis or for games then download Alchohol 120% and mount the iso image. Alchohol treats the iso file as a disc in a virtual drive so you then go through the process of installation as normal.

I'm afraid not, VIDA needs to chat with the PIE (Product Information Exchange) server at Volvo in order to download the correct software to program your new immobilizer module. For that, a VIDA subscription is needed.

Note that as of VIDA 2010B, people with VCT2000s (like me) will be SOL and need to buy DiCEs.

Once you have the .ISO file that was mentioned previously, if you have Win XP you can use a free Microsoft program to mount the .ISO to a virtual drive. It installs quickly and comes with instructions.

Click the "Virtual CD-ROM Control panel for windows" link. It'll download a small file which you unzip and place into your Windows/Sys32/drivers folder.
