Well in comparing them they seem the same except for the side marker, I did snatch the marker off the other side as well, so if I have the wiring I'll see about retrofitting the other side, if not I have a Volvo badge on the side that's getting replaced that I think I can use to cover the hole

Got it stripped down, here's to hoping it goes back together alright, frame measures out still perfectly square so that's good. the radiator fan is in worse shape than I realized and I just noticed that one of the head lights I picked up has a broken spot where a bolt hole should be
But I should be able to make it work.... Bit muddy in my garage

Alright guys I hit a bit of a problem on reassembly. I can't figure out where I took these connectors loose at, I can't find anything they can connect to so maybe I'm blind or maybe they went to something taken off by a previous owner like my stock air box? Here's what I've got on the driverside of the car.

The first and last look like fog lights.

The second one is the outdoors temperature sensor. Just push the end into a hole near the front and bottom of the car ... where it will measure ambient air temperature.

First and last are two pics of the same wire, my bad. Figured out the wire clip and the stripped one go to the horns, looks like I'm rolling with one horn for now. You're saying the black piece is the temp sensor? Thankyou :) I'll find somewhere to put it

There should of course be 2 connectors for the horns (1 each mounting either side of the centre of the plastic slam panel. They also look like the side light connectors.

The ambient temp sensor mounts into the grille below the LHS headlamp in the bumper below the headlight wiper.

There is a second sensor on the RHS of the car at the front which is the engine ambient temp sensor and it mounts into the front undertray and faces into the radiator area on the lower RH of center.

Not sure if it is any help at all, but here is a picture of the front of my 00 V70 with the bumper removed.

You can see if you look carefully the locations of the 2 air temp sensors. One is hanging above the black bucket and the other is in a matching spot on the other side of the front

Right on... I got my radiator and slam panel in place last night, I did not pick up a new fan or ac condenser for lack of money, the fan seems fine except for a bit of broken plastic but I'm guessing the relays and whatever type of solenoid this is with the vacuum line running to it attached to the fan shroud somewhere that broke off because I couldn't find a place to secure them. I just zip tied them securely up tight to the slam panel for now
