Spark plugs

2 of three TCV hoses (silicone from IPD). How the heck do you reach the red one!?
It's not the easiest, but it's doable. If you remove the intake elbow, you can reach around with some either 45 or 90 degree bent Jose pliers and get a hold on it. Some small needle nose locking pliers may help for the clamp if you're unable to get the bent nose pliers in there.

Sat in it for about a half hour and got to watch an overturned semi burn up about 500 feet ahead of me on I80/94 near the IN/IL state line.
http://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/lake ... 80762.html

Flames were intense, 50-100 feet up and due to heavy wind blowing across the opposite direction/eastbound lanes where I was, us eastbounders were stuck too until the fire was doused. I left the news/traffic station playing on the radio. About 20 minutes after I got through they said on the radio that there was another major incident eastbound between 2 semis in about the same spot after which both east and west bound traffic was blocked. Goodness.
Wow, no injuries either! That's nuts.

Noticed a dark spot on the driveway and had a slight freak-out, thinking the '98 V70 was leaking oil. Turns out to be washer fluid dripping from the right headlight wiper hose.

It looks like there's a tee, but am I missing a hose or cap on the end?

Finally fixed my tailgate lock today! I discovered after testing the wires from the lock connector that I had a short in one of the wires. I found that short after stripping the wire to resolder. Instead of stripping the wire, I ended up pulling out a lot more. Turns out there was a break that didn’t show on the coating.
Now I can unlock my tailgate with the key without setting off the alarm!

Reflected on the life of the guy who taught me wrenching , now on his final twilight.

Morphine 3x hourly.

Somewhere in between building Concorde, Saturn V, LEM, and Shuttle he taught me how to wrench.

93 years old from the depths of poverty in the UK to a Doctorate in a Engineering.

Had another good day yesterday at the junkyard. Initially I went for a couple relays, my cousin says "I'm probably not getting anything." Naturally we ended up coming home with a 19t and an S60R exhaust manifold, along with a larger intercooler (though I'm not sure the brand).
Same car he got his e-code jewels from as well as a Supersprint exhaust. I at least got an R steering wheel from it. I would have loved to get that car before it ended up there... black on black manual '99 C70 HPT coupe. The only thing that would have made it better was if it was a non-sunroof '98. Fortunately between me and my cousin we bought up all the valuables!

Replaced loaner ECC with another ebay ECC. May grab a scrap harness from the pick n pull in the future. Have a feeling that the 5V regulator is going on them. Still need to get off my duff and pull the recirc motor out and clean it.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.
