SAS pump resistance

Apparently for vehicles older than 1998, they only check emissions from the tailpipe, so it didn't matter that the code for the SAS pump was thrown.

I have a vague memory of somebody saying the 850s could pass emissions testing without the SAS. The above and and similar local rules could be the source of that claim ... for some people.

There are 53 state versions and 13 provinces and territory versions of emission rules, including Prince Edward Island

I’m sure some places don’t care about the SAS
