1998 V90 - parts supplier verification request.

Post by Uree »

Looking recently for struts replacement - and got this web page - https://www.importpartsnow.com/oem-part ... NCZyPTc%3D Everything look legit - but can not see anywhere physical address or location. Seems like internet operated only. Checked another parts on them - and suspiciously saw that parts on photo read " Scan-Tech "... Am i too suspicious? Quick internet research did not give to me any info about this parts supplier. Price for struts - 82.72, so good... are struts made of ...whom? Monroe was OEM as i knew... If anyone ever have been on that web site and got parts with no problem - would like to hear it, or opinion. Thanks.

This business is using ebay also, and he is using RevolutionParts for their "web site." You too, can be an online parts reseller, in your home:-)

opautogroup has been selling on eBay since 2004. They have earned more than two thousand positive feedback ratings, with a current 98.5% positive overall score. They are also recognized as one of the Top Rated sellers globally. Sellers with the best customer service and fast shipping are rewarded by eBay through the Top Rated Seller program.

They are out of Overland Park, Kansas I suspect they were an import parts seller there, and expanded online via ebay and Revolutionparts web assist.

A bit suss as Tasca parts claim that part number is discontinued. Tasca's database is tied directly to Volvo.

Who knows could be old stock?....

So, i was decided to give a try for FactoryVolvoParts.com. Ordered - verification e-mail received. But it will not be " me " if everything went smooth and soo good from first attempt ... About 3 hours later e-mail let me know that my order was canceled " due to the absence of requested items" ... now payment return will take around week or so... And this part still showed as available... There is couple more web pages - they looks so similar to one each other - and part of interest showed as available as well - just +/- 10 $ price difference. Checked domain and other available info - all those web pages based on godaddy.com kind platform - with different ownership and locations. Checked eeuroparts.com - ProParts struts only brand available ... Now have to wait for payment return before make another attempt... I recently been read some info about ProParts - some users reported that struts itself read country of origin - Spain. Guessing that as all aftermarket - it still like a lottery. So, for now - awaiting for next week to make order from eeuroparts as a last option for my V90...

I didn't scan then for the part number you were looking for...but after scanning, its rather doubtful it is available in US or Germany. I did another search on Volvo's VADIS, and that stock number does not come up...which means they quit making it some years ago.

On eBay, there are a few Volvo dealerships who are getting rid of old inventory, but I don't see any listed. Being not made for Volvo for some years, getting new old stock might not be a good idea on shocks.
