1998 V70XC Rear Propshaft "Hanger Bearing" Replacement?

Are you kidding me? Look at the first video link I provided. The second video link which you mention was a method you may have to take to remove the bearing if it is seized. The first link is called "installing drive shaft bearing on 98 xc70 part 1". That is your question correct?

Yes I read your post and when I did I recalled the video I had seen in the past on the subject. The prop shaft is dismantled by a nut that is at the joint. It is in the first video I linked, not the second which you are jumping all over. Watch all of the parts of the guy's video on how to do your repair. The second video will provide additional information.

I don't see any videos with a V70XC propshaft, I see a 240 and a bunch of other rwd videos. I did the searches and came up with all the same videos. If Google can't find exactly what your looking for it finds you the next closest thing. If you attached it I'm not seeing it. All those videos look like RWD to me, if it's there and I'm missing it can you attach just that one.
Btw when posting sometimes things read sarcastically. ..I tried to add that I wasn't being a wiseguy. I really appreciate your efforts.

I don't have a 1998 XC70, but this video says it is about a 1998 XC70. Again it is in four parts.

Yeah i found this one on Google but unfortunately that's not the same propshaft I have. His title is wrong, it's a 1998 V70XC not an XC70, the XC70 is a P2 chassis not a P80 like mine. The XC70 came out in 2001 not 1998. That driveshaft has a slip joint, that's the splined joint that slips out of the shaft after you unhinged the U joint. TY for trying.

Ok no problem, after work I'll post some pics. TY again for your efforts, I'll re all appreciate it. I had found a bunch of really good videos on hanger bearing replacement, like this guy "John Sadler" did a video on a RWD VOLVO 240. I mean I already know how to tear a RWD propshaft down and all then rebuild it but my '98 V70XC slip joint is welded in place and the few other '98-'00 propshaft are all welded, atleast what I've seen. I was thinking if I try to whack it apart I'll ruin the U joints or splines inside of what should have been a slip joint. Cutting with a hole saw might work but i dont own one.

Post some pictures. From the last link I sent you it appears that the unit may have a circlip rather then a bolt. It may be buried in dirt and oil - hit it with some cleaner and a scrub brush.

Here's pic of my propshaft, see that weld....
If weld strip wasn't layed down I could pull u joint out of rear half of the propshaft and slide hanger bearing off with some work.
