Removal of '99 V70 Recirc motor? Topic is solved

So I just gave this a look (rather dark out...) and I appear to be stupid and in need of additional info. It looks like the recirc motor in held by a metal bracket and the motor itself has maybe one fastener that attaches it to said bracket. Do I remove the bracket or just the motor, and which method is suggested?

What is the fastener? Torx? Phillips? I wasn't able to see clearly. Is this one of those where I'm going to want a flex shaft to remove it?

The recirc motor isn't turning and my feeling is this is likely because I already have a code set in the ECC for it. The connection to the recirc shaft was totally off the motor but appeared to be in the correct number of pieces.

I’ve had a look at this a few times and I thought I reached the conclusion that the dash had to come off. It didn’t look easy

Maybe with a flex you can do it?

Which motor do you think is the re-circ motor? The servo motor behind the glove box?

Yes, the one that at one point had the linkage (disconnected) that goes to the recirc flap.

Make sure you note where the lever is or once you replace the motor cycle it with the ignition on to find its rest position before fitting the connecting arm which break easily with age. They are still available new as of last year.

Once arm has bee disconnected, you have to remove the one Torx screw and it slides out forward. It is the easiest of the motors to replace once the glove box is removed. When refitting make sure it has sat back into the slider correctly and insert the one Torx screw.

Glove box is out. So the motor just comes off the bracket and the bracket stays in position?
