Hi,
I just recently purchased a DiCE unit from Ebay and downloaded a full 2014D Vida setup from one of the members over on Swedespeed. Everything appears to work fine, the DiCE unit tests out fine, but when I try to read the vin from my XC90 I the error message saying "Not possible to read out information from the vehicle. No response from the vehicle. Possible causes are: Ignition is not on, vehicle is older than model year 1999, defective CEM/CDM."
When I manually enter the vin and then go into diagnostics, I'm able to read from the high speed side of the CAN (engine modules, SAS, etc.) If I go into the "Network" tab of diagnostics it shows that I'm only able to communicate with the high speed CAN. I'll include a pic of this.
I have no symptoms of the CEM being defective. I have a bad SAS and something wrong with the rear parking assist, but nothing of the classic symptoms (so I read) of the CEM being defective.
Any help on this? Thank you!

Most versions of vida I know of expired Dec 2017. Theres a patch file that resets the internal expiration calender.yoderpianist wrote: ↑12 Apr 2018, 06:02 Hi,

Take a look in the vida forum.
Everyone has had to do it, no big deal.

Actually, the problem was not vida. It was a defective dice unit. I have a new one now and it works perfectly.
