low beam failure 2005 s60 2.5T AWD

Just bought my first Volvo. Beautiful 2005 s60 2.5t AWD.
The only issue is the "low beam failure" dash light.
The lights work perfectly: high and low and blinkers and brakes and fog lights, and have for months.
They are 55watt.
How do I clear the error? Super annoying.
I can change to miles per gallon or Due 'til empty but it overrides them and pops back up as low beam failure.
Engine fuses #17/18 for the left and right low beams are not blown.
I disconnected the battery for 15min and reconnected but the error returned.
