Hi first post here,
Straight to the point, we need help finding the alignment on a 2010 V70 with a B5254T10 engine that has lost its timimg, we basiaclly dont know how many tooths it has jumped.
We have removed the cam gear cover and examined the gears as best as possible but are unable to find any markings on the gears and we belive the valves are hitting the pistons so we cant turn the gears all the way round.
In another thread we saw that we can see the alignment on the back of the cam axle and are wondering how we remove the rubber like covers that covers the ends of the cam axle?
Hope someone can help
Regards from Sweden.

Hi Thanks for that information. It´s really gonna help me. We managed to solve the issue about the rubber covered lid that covers the other end of the cam axle. The lid is made of metal and is covered with rubber but in the middle there´s a big hole. We carefully stuck a large screwdriver thru the rubber and pulled the lid off. The lid can´t be used again so you have to buy a new one.
