LHS heated mirror isn't heating

Post by Tonyx »

I checked continuity of the heating element on LHS side mirror. I checked the fuse but only the RHS mirror heating is working. What do you recommend I check next?

Remote control to move the mirrors work on both sides.

Replace the mirror. Be aware there were two models of mirrors

LHS mirror was replaced as matter of fact. Issue persists so I"m asking what to do here.
I'll recheck the mirror element on the replacement unit per the video.
Is there a reliable source just for the mirror with heating element? I don't want to buy brand new mirror assembly for my 2001MY with 233,000 miles.

Measure the leads in the housing. Power there? The wire in the mirror a closed circuit?

Before you start replacing stuff.
