EU is importing 90% of it's consumption. The biggest oil exporter for Europe is Russia with 30% of the total demand.

I think the actual difference is spelled tax but I might be wrong. 2/3 of our petrol and diesel price is energy tax and VAT. Oil itself is traded on a global market, US companies would export if it was more expensive abroad than in the US.

The Volvo dealer could get me the hose with same day delivery from Central storage. Phew.
Finished today. That little bolt that goes into the intake manifold from underneath took me about two hours bloody thing.
I dropped it and the washers a dozen times. Ended up pouring a bucket of water down the front of the engine to wash them down to the ground..
