EU is importing 90% of it's consumption. The biggest oil exporter for Europe is Russia with 30% of the total demand.

I think the actual difference is spelled tax but I might be wrong. 2/3 of our petrol and diesel price is energy tax and VAT. Oil itself is traded on a global market, US companies would export if it was more expensive abroad than in the US.

I started on the PCV today. The little elbow was stuck so I cut it loose. Then I realised the new one wasn't right and wouldn't fit.. I'm really hoping Volvo has one in stock tomorrow..

The Volvo dealer could get me the hose with same day delivery from Central storage. Phew.

Car is parked like this in my parents driveway for now. Their car is further in and can't get out..

Finished today. That little bolt that goes into the intake manifold from underneath took me about two hours bloody thing.

New oil and mostly new coolant in as well.

AC pulley bearing left then it's ready for the summer holidays.

I dropped it and the washers a dozen times. Ended up pouring a bucket of water down the front of the engine to wash them down to the ground..

Oh and it was raining almost the entire time to begin with.. Had to finish though.

Oh and I found a 10 mm socket I had dropped down beneath the manifold two years and 40' km ago as well
