time to replace or recover front seats

Both of my fronts seats are split in the leather and seams, so it's time to replace them. I live near a parts yard, and they usually have several P2's there. I have tan seats (2001 V70 T5). What other seats would go in? I was at the parts yard and it seemed that the color for tan seats is a little different for other years. Or else it is the sunlight. Also connector compatibility?

About electrical connectors compatibility, quite sure not all years are compatible. Also, in terms of comfort the P2's have different seats cushions across the models, years and also trims. I believe the S80 had the most comfortable (and the larger lower cushion) seats, then the XC70, the R if you can find them, then even across the S60 models the cushion was very different.

Remember to have the car battery unplugged for this job

I'd try perhaps see if you can replace the whole seat+ rails but without the SRS/seatbelt tensioner stuff, so you swap all the electrical from your actual seats, so as not to have issues with the SRS system.

Against what a yard would charge for a pair of good looking seats you should consider having them reupholstered.

George, what yard do you live near? I could use some tan P2 skins. My go to yard is Harry's in West Hazelton, Pa., but it a 2 plus hour drive one way.

Evan..I had a report at Harry’s from my Operations manager that his car was rifled through by customers at Harry’s so be aware and lock up if you go there
