I think the actual difference is spelled tax but I might be wrong. 2/3 of our petrol and diesel price is energy tax and VAT. EU is importing 90% of it's consumption. The biggest oil exporter for Europe is Russia with 30% of the total demand.

Car is parked like this in my parents driveway for now. Their car is further in and can't get out..
