What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

I dropped it and the washers a dozen times. Ended up pouring a bucket of water down the front of the engine to wash them down to the ground..

Oh and it was raining almost the entire time to begin with.. Had to finish though.

It's much easier to drop another bolt and watch it follow the first one. (This is about the only option when a water ban in the area is enforced.)

I dropped it enough times to know where it went roughly, I just couln't get to it

My $3 Lowes magnet on a telescopic stick has saved me 100s of roll under the car for dropped things.

I tried two junkyard latches, cheap, before I broke down and bought a new Volvo one from FCP. It worked much better

My rapidaire airline system arrived, I'm running my compressor in the house to the garage , this is better than regular hose, its pex hardline with lower pressure loss. Thats what I do for my Volvo. Not to my volvo.

Have been working on replacing the ETM sensor this week. Finally put everything back today today and so far good result. Knock on wood.

This might be considered blasphemy: Bag hooks out of an Audi.
I don't like the Volvo hooks, they don't retract. I see breaking them easily getting large items in and out of the trunk.
Whoever designed these for VW/Audi nailed it...

Oh, and whoever put all new brakes/rotors on your '04 Silver S60, drove maybe 500 miles before totaling the vehicle and it ended up at LKQ in South Bend Indiana. That brake job didn't go to waste. I took it all. The (ceramic) pads still looked like they were right out of the box.

Replaced the heater core in my wife's 2005 S80. I had replaced it a year ago almost to the day but it started to leak again. Advance Auto honored their lifetime warranty and actually gave me what appears to be a higher quality unit in the process. Broke the temperature blend door linkage in the process

While I was swapping the core, I put my wife to work scrubbing the coolant out of the carpet

It's an awfully tight fit getting the core in and out due to the steering column being in the way, at least on the S80 that is.
