07 S80 Torque Converter not locking

Hi when down shifting and accelerating torque converter unlocks and transmission slips or could it not be going int gear properly was hard downshifting once in a while now this if I baby the car seems fine

Check your fluid condition and level. When did you last do a fluid change. May be worth starting there before digging deeper. Any engine codes or lights?

No codes new fluid from Volvo dealer put almost a quart of Lucas Transmission Slip Fix in seems fine now I think solenoid was sticking

Glad it worked out. Many times fresh fluid is all that is needed, additive never hurts. Not sure what transmission you have, but if you have a measure dipstick pull it and see its color now as a reference and look at it every 10k miles or so.

No dipstick just plug Lucas is good stuff
