Couple of days ago I had for-sale signs on my V70 while preparing for my impending divorce. I got stopped 4 times in 5 or so miles. Suffice it to say folks love the V70s and are willing to pay a premium for them.

Finally replaced the two Evap canister hoses this weekend. I think this car is on it’s third set, 19 years / 200,000 miles

I used Volvo OEM rubber. My local dealer had the parts on the shelf , manufacture date 2015, at very near the “BIP” or Best Internet Price.

Removed the seats and deep cleaned the carpets today in the 2000 R. Also pulled the center console and driver's knee panel in preparation for the M56 swap.

Just ordered an evaporator core, receiver, rear springs, and delta links... With my luck, by the time I can get the car on jackstands we'll be in another heatwave...

Made the Volvo my one-and-only again. In the last three days I sold my Mercedes and my Ford. Now the Volvo has to last at least 1600 miles to my new home, and likely 2500 by the time I buy a less-broken daily. But I think it'll make it.

Something is loose in my steering rack, causing ~1/8" of play in toe. Not sure if I'll have time to throw any quick fixes at the problem, which is definitely, positively, absolutely not due to control arms, struts, or tie rods. It's the rack. Wiggling the wheel at 9 and 3 moves the rack radially in the housing. There are no leaks. I'll try adjusting the yoke if I have time, which may help, but endgame for this is probably replacing the rack. Someday.

I bought a $20 used tire to placate the alignment gods, and somehow the car tracks straight again, rather than pulling to the right. But I still have the alignment issue that wore the old tire out, with sloppy and inconsistent steering on-center, even with a little toe dialed in. It's going to eat through tires until I fix it. I'll check the tires in each major city en route and, if I have to, keep buying $20 tires until I arrive in LA.

Left ALB at 0500 for an awesome Spring Drive down I88 through May flowers of NY Southern Tier.

I am thankful I fixed the AC as the drive back is in 80F heat and Abscate don't do heat well.
