Yelled at my kid for closing the trunk of the BMW during a job. “It was stuck in the carpet Dad” yeah, because it I still an electric trunk and now I can’t get to my tools and parts as the battery is out.

Apologized and too her out for ice cream an hour later.

I knew what I was getting into except for the part availability issues.

Still worth it, I drive brand new VW sport hatches all the time at work. Awesome little cars

My 20 year old station wagon is smoother and more fun to drive on the freeway though, hands down.

New spark plugs today. What a difference that made in low end power. I may have neglected this job a little longer than i should have. She purrs real good now.

While I was at it, did a compression test. 165-170psi across all cylinders. Think I'm doing pretty good for 260k miles. Looks like I'm going through with installing the new clutch and RMS.

Picked up some Perfos today for a good deal. First time hauling wheels/tires in the GLT believe it or not, and I’m happy to see how they fit compared to my dad’s E39 wagon! Didn’t have to fold the seats down!

Now that I'm using the Volvo as my daily driver my new goal has been to somehow get the evap and catalyst codes to complete. What an unnecessary pain.
