I'd hope common sense would come into play here and the op would try this while the car is in park. When the ignition really gets bad jiggling the key becomes the norm in Hope's it catches allowing the car one more start! June.

So far so good, cleaning the battery connectors and the ground wire in front of the battery + driving with nothing but the car key on my keychain seems to have solved the problem.

The 960 uses the same switch part. I know because I replaced mine in both my 960 and our 850 at about the same time.
