Help with DICE/Laptop Vida Software please

I bought a set-up from a trusted seller on Ebay several years ago. I am now trying to connect the DICE unit and the computer to the car yet when I click on the Volvo All in One desktop icon all I get is "the webpage is unable to be displayed" or something to that effect. He had me run the patch to hopefully rectify this situation but after clicking the All in One icon it says the same thing and when I copy/paste the localhost/vida URL address into Google Chrome it does the same thing. Can anyone offer me any help? All I want to do is to be able to look at and clear the codes showing up on my car currently. MUCH APPRECIATION to anyone who answers.

Now that Im browsing the forum, Ebay seller Andrew and his approach for $40 might be the way to go seeing that I already have the DICE unit. Thoughts?

Windows 10: Vida 2014D_Repack and patch 2014A-B-D-2099
Windows 7: The above and the Chrome Conversion.

With both solutions there is no need to install in a VM, unless your using a Mac, or downgrade Internet Explorer.

In most cases installing over the existing install with 2014D_Repack will get you going again. But there is no way to know what the other Distro has. You may need to do a complete uninstall of VIDA and then do a reinstall.

Which is why I think it will be much much easier for me to spend the $40....install the software on my external USB hard drive then follow the rest of 1MoreTech's quick install tips. In 15-20 mins I would be up and running. Im not super computer savvy fwiw.
