That didn’t write quite like I meant
With the uncertainty and everything going on with that vehicle, I needed that laugh - too funny :P

There is always this option, but watch out for rear sub-frame corrosion.

Ordered an endoscope camera on Amazon. Will use it to verify the damaged burnt valve. In the meantime, been spending a lot hours on Youtube of Robert's DIY on the preparation, removal and install of the cylinder head. I'm trying to figure what else I should do when I finally tackle the job (timing belt, water pump, PCV system, etc.).

Camshaft seals (you're already going to have the head off anyways)
+1 on everything you already listed
New timing belt tensioner
New timing belt idler pulley (not sure about the timing setup on the 2k, I only have a 1999)
Check the motor mounts since you're already going to be in there. I believe the rear mount may be easier to replace with the head off, but don't quote me on it as I haven't done this job myself yet.
Replace any and all rubber hoses you can get at - heater hoses, radiator hoses, turbo, you name it. Anything with coolant or oils running through it.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

+1 to all the above. That's pretty much all I'm doing on my R while I do the M56 swap.

2000 timing belt tensioner is the same as '99, the mechanical tensioner.
