Dolby center speaker retro fit Topic is solved

I am wondering if any one has cut out their x70 dash top pad to retro fit the centre channel speaker. I’m sure I’ve read a how-to some where, but can’t for the life of me find it.
Any help appreciated

Unless you are very lucky the center grill is obsolete and fragile.

The wiser move is to buy a complete dash top if you can and swap with your current one.

It comes down to availability. I have all the components - a myriad of colours from different cars, the grill I have is the right colour and in good condition, just never been able to find the holy grail of a grey dash top complete. I’m planning on colour matching, cutting and pasting arts and crafts style.
