I'm not sure about the "01" being the a date code or not, but you may be right. If you are trying to match up a replacement DDM, I went through that exercise. My V70 is 2003. I found a DDM in a 2003 S60 and the first two lines matched.
In your case that would be:
861327
01 W09E
The replacement worked for me even though the long number on the third line didn't match.
What's yours doing or not doing?

Thankyou i just ordered on off ebay, the part number and year match my faulty unit but the week doesnt. I hope it will work as the faulty unit 'clicks' when its cold and i cant use the windows or mirrors until it stops clicking. i have replaced the little relay last winter and it worked great during the summer but its now getting cold and its playing up again.

UPDATE i fitted drivers door module on my 2001xc70 with same part number and year (ebay seller said ddm removed from an S80) and it works without programming. just remove the door module fuse, i accidentally removed the wrong fuse and now have an 'airbag warning' light.

Good or bad, I didn’t pull the fuse when I replaced mine.
You may have to get a dealer or well-equipped indie shop to clear the airbag fault. I don’t know if VIDA will clear it or not.

On that note. To clear the SRS message, is it the same procedure as clearing other fault codes in VIDA? I think it’s in the diagnostics, erase, then you have to shut the engine off, on, rev it, off again? Theres an old lady with an 01 that I met the other day that I want to help out. Just wasn’t sure if it was a special procedure.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.
