Rattle rattle rattle goes the rear bumper.
Ive noticed it is loose, and rolling underneath, the salt has eaten away the steel brackets that mount the Aluminum member to the frame rails.
I managed to string a heavy zip tie around the top of the rails, and then through the member to hold in place.
Correct way to fix, parts on order, will be

PSA - on this job, start spraying the PB Blaster a week in advance.
It is ugly under there.

Yeah
PB Blaster for a week
Heat
Impact sockets
and I still had to grind off the ends of the bracket and one of the frame member bolts.
The rest yielded to my 'little friend' C2 H2 and 02

Well , I got the new brackets and hardware from Lisle and bolting new metal in is easy peazy. I centered the brackets on the frame rails, there was about 1 cm of adjustment in each of four directions up-down-left- right
That ended up lined up nicely on the cover, trunk, all the six fender rivets lineup so I’ll pop it in tomorrow, too dark for lineup work tonight.
Does anyone want some tested bumper hardware?

Well, Ive eiliminated the bumper rattle, the license plate rattle, and now Im down to just one more
Found it this morning. The cup on the left hand shock is loose
Parts explosion. Hmmm. its the little cup on the rear axle that is loose, but that doesn't look replaceable.
Well, we know what that means..

Ah, it is. Its part 10 above. The 16mm? hex nut was loose, but I don't see the spacer part 11 at all - rusted away maybe?
I got the nut off (large water pump pliers by Channelock (tm) - an American Brand - wire brushed, anti seize, and retightened. There is a small post on the part 10 I had to bend back to fit into the index hole on the axle Pics to come

Follow up on this.
I dropped the two bumper bolts on Evita the S70 and a lot of water came out. That aluminum Member apparently collects water. Maybe two 6 mmdrainholes to be drilled in the bottom?
Any thoughts!
