I recently purchased a 2000 V70 with 57,000 miles from a man who had ALL the maintenance done at Karp Volvo. Well, two weeks ago I had the car towed back home after the tranny failed while accelerating. No gears... just neutral and park.
Two independent tranny shops don't want to get involved in my "nightmare" Volvo and the dealer said about $4700.
Does anyone know an independent mechanic who knows how to fix this car?
I live in Long Beach, NY, just outside Queens.
