will other model shocks fit

Good day guys
do any of you know if other moddel volvo shocks will fit on the 850
like a 2005 s40 t5
I know the v70s are quite simmilar but i just want to make sure if I can get a car that is stripping
for spares. the shocks here by me are verrrry expencive for some reason. close to $350 just for the front
and thats only for the strut no mounting no coil.

I dont want to spend to much ion the car at the moment I need a quick fix for time being.

Im planning a hole redo by end of the year when i buy another car.

I do not see any cross over part numbers for a P1 to P80 model (V50/S40 from 05 to earlier cars). Now maybe they may fit, but you would have to see if the bearings will bolt up to the same holes and obviously the lower mount points to the swivel are compatible. I think it is unlikely as the P1 shared chassis design with the Ford Focus and Mazda 3.
