s70 replacement headlight assembly question

Great deal! I wish there were JYs like that here.
And +1 to the common wiring harnesses in these cars.
99% of P80’s are very well designed and engineered.
Decades later, owners are still enjoying that advantage.

They are holding up great! Had them for over two years with no issues. No special bulbs, just remember you need bulbs for C70, vice V70 and you will be fine. Just a side note, C70 bulbs are way more expensive than V70 bulbs.

Good to know. I’m always a little leary of aftermarket parts.
I’m glad to hear that they’re working well for you. As far as
the lamps being a little more expensive? Cheap Insurance! :mrgreen:

never had a set of factory fogs I thought were useful for anything, except on my W123 and W124 Benzes. those had "fog lights" integrated into the headlamp unit, and they were just really bright low beams that didn't point at other driver's faces. actually useful for driving through the dark.

actually, the lights on my Fiesta were useful when pulling into my block back in Texas at night. they threw a pretty wide pattern, so I could see around one particular tight corner without shining my brights into all the neighbors' houses. but if it'd been an optional extra, I'd decline at any price over $50 with no regrets.

R stands for RALLY, right?!
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

I had the same problem with my XC. I put the v70 version of these on my XC and installed LEDs in them and it went from driving in the dark to concentrated sunlight without the oncoming traffic blind: https://www.ebay.com/itm/S70-1996-2000- ... 2941714877?
