Hi all
I've got this like electric motor/fan sort of noise which seems to come on at start up randomly it only lasts for about 2mins , makes no difference if engine is hot or cold . It's been doing it for about a month now and seems to be happening more often , if I rev the engine it seems to get louder anyone had this issue oh and it's not the cooling fan or Aircon
Thanks in advance
Strange noise

I have no idea if you car even has it, but I think the SAS pump that the US cars have run for about 2 minutes.
Does the noise come on at any other time than startup?

Maybe you can check the main fuse box (the small oddly shaped one), do you have the relay marked 16 in this picture?

The IAC should run for about that much time. If it's getting loud, then it's either clogged up or on its way out. Check if the noise you hear is coming from under the throttle cover. It shouldn't change with RPM, though.
The other option I can think of is either the PS pump or the serpentine belt tensioner. If either is getting worn, they'll make a variety of noises, often subsiding when fluids start moving around or things change temperatures.
