OPINION: Where did you install your grom/aux modulator?
I ordered AUX adapter for my Cross Country, but I'm not sure where I would like to run it through.. Right now I have the box installed in the glove box with the AUX cable running out and plugged into my iPhone, but I really don't like the Aux wire sticking out. The problem is that the cable running from the box to the back of the head unit isn't that long so it really limits my options (if I have it pulled out it only stretches to about the gear shifter). Anyone have any interesting solutions?
If I paid attention to signs with little symbols I’d never find anywhere to park.
I installed mine under the arm rest, so the aux cable runs out through the armrest. Make sure you put a Ground Loop Noise Isolator if your going to use a 3.5mm jack or ipod cable. Just order a longer cd changer cable, the format is fairly standard 8-pin DIN cable, just amazon up a 6 footer. I was able to fish it through without to much issue.

On the S80 I had previously I just stuck it behind the head unit and routed the aux cable out though the little storage compartment next to it. Close to the vent where I clip the phone when using it to navigate and if not I could just leave the phone I'm the storage compartment with nothing sticking out.
Why not just use their BT adapter?? I went that route. No need to mess with cables, unless I want to charge my phone. And the sound quality is actually very good. Practically no sound difference to a hardwire connection (my 07 came w/factory AUX input on my HU-850).

I used the Bluetooth unit and stuffed it behind the head unit. No mess.

Are you sure you're not talking about a flux capacitor?
