How to clean the contacts in the 240 steering wheel?

I'm trying to do more on my own with my Volvo rather than taking it to the mechanic all the time. My horn hasn't worked since I got it, and I've ruled out the fuse as being the problem. I'm fairly certain that the contacts in the steering wheel are to blame. How do you get inside of the wheel to clean it, and what can you use to actually clean it up?

I'm in the same boat and found this clip online. I also took of the horn and adjusted the torx screw which seems to bring it back to life a bit.

I've seen that video since posting this. I just can't get into the steering wheel- the center pad is stuck.
