Replaced the heater core on my 2000 S70 (146,000 mi.). Thanks to Robert's video it took less than two hours (and I work slowly). I bought the core from Volvonest on E-bay. It helps me to know what tool I need before I start a repair. It saves time searching for the correct tools.
I also painted the grill and louvers on the front bumper black. I will take a picture to post. It gives my Volvo a nastier look.
If the weather holds I will be doing other things to make my Volvo different from the usual stock car.

Abs light came on twice in 3000km, went away when restarting. Suspected front sensors to be dirty: used lots of anti rust to get bolts loose during control arm replacement a few weeks back.

Was able to borrow some tools yesterday and used treelug as jack stand. Pulled both front wheels and cleaned both sensors. Drove 60 miles today, no more warning lights but ABS keeps engaging on front left wheel, both when braking and accelerating at lpwer speeds. Before cleaning, it didn't unnecessarily engage, I just had the light come on twice.

Should I clean again or stop by dealer and have front left abs sensor replaced?
Car is at 326.000 km.

Thanks!
Are you in Sweden right now? "Biltema" has the abs sensor and "ring" and a lot of spare parts for your car. Cheapest store in Sweden. And... Using a log as a jack stands... Be careful, a Norwegian died a couple of weeks ago using tree log as jack stands working on his Volvo.

Thanks LOB. Thank you for the Biltema tip, the camping owner also told me about it.
I am still in Sweden and have now driven I think 1000 km without the light coming on. Cleaning it a second time seems to have helped.
Wow, a scary news article you posted. It indeed looks unstable in the picture. I feel really sad for the guy.
I used a single, big diameter piece of tree that i put up horizontally where I normally place my jack stands. I also let the jack in place as a safety. And I made sure not to go under the car and keep my hands clear from the underside of the brake disc. Working on a car with limited tools indeed does require caution!

Jvl: BILTEMA also has a lot of camping equipment, propan etc. Yes the setup with wooden planks looks really dangerous. What was he thinking.... Even though I always use proper jack stands I also put the wheel under the car as an extra precaution.
