2005 v50 t5 .. won't start
MSK here. I have a 2005 v50 t5 Auto fwd. Drove it Saturday. Ran great. Came home tonight... won't start. Cranks and cranks. Nothing. Put the vida/Dice...no faults found. Fuel pump? I don't have a pressure tester...any imput would be appreciated. Where do you start with something like this?
Well boys and girls... I pulled the vacuum hose from the intake and sprayed some starting fluid and it tried to start...so fuel pump relay or fuel pump.... I'm a little spoiled from the 70 series. the relays and fuses are under the hood.... not on a 50 series. I really don't like Volvo's that much anymore. I might get a horse... less maintenance....rrrrhhh
So after my rant... sorry for that. I'm wondering how to determine if the alarm/ imobilizer system has shut down the car. I often go out and the message screen will say... alarm triggered... The car sits on the street so tap music with the double base might set it off or loud exhaust. Does anyone know how to reset the alarm? Or maybe it's just the fuel pump... perhaps I am over analyzing.....

No codes? What is your fuel pressure reading through the Dice?
Tripped immobilizer will set code. It resets by locking and unlocking door through key fob

Hey Jeff... thanks for your concern. I finally got a code and determined that it's a faulty fuel pressure sensor. Apparently it shuts down the fuel system. I did get it running after clearing the code but it shut down again, so I'll be pulling and replacing it. Take care and thanks
