Haha, if I could afford to buy another car I would! I'm currently trying to unload the 740 to fund finishing up the R.

Hurry up please. June and I want another pink slip to steal...

Isn't that funny... Forward lamp went out on Sis' XC90. Shopped around a little for a Phillips standard D2Rs*. $100 each at local auto parts, $45-80 from Volvo parts sites, or hmmm... $68 for TWO from seller "Import Parts Depot" on Amazon. Listed as "Phillips D2R Philips OE" tagged for use with Volvo.

Open the package. Cute... Phillips 85126 D2R bulbs sourced through...of all places... MB.

*My experience with RPTVs (I still have a bulb based one in the bedroom for computer gaming, and a gigantic RP in the living room, one of the last ones made ~2009-2010 using a RGB-LED based light engine that looks just fantastic. About the time the technology was getting pretty close to 'perfected' with the use of 3 primary color high intensity LEDs which also made it possible to delete the problematic 10,000+ RPM mechanical color wheel, nasty picture quality low spec LCDs took over the market and they stopped making RP sets. Anyways, lessons learned long ago.. when it comes to high pressure discharge type bulbs, stick with Phillips.

banged out the right rear caliper job in one hour with no deviations from SOP.

The new Centric caliper comes loaded with some off brand of rear brake pad so now I am mismatched.

Took it up to 65 and mashed the pedal to see if there was any pull, which there wasnt.

Another one for myth busters. Im guessing at hard braking, the fronts do all the work, so slight brake mismatch in rear won't matter.

Hauled a transmission for my cousin's Durango yesterday. We just put a new engine in a few months ago and now the tranny has to be replaced since the torque converter blew up.
This thing was HEAVY... the two of us could barely lift it. It tore my Weathertech mat :(

I had the rear upholstery removed so the tint man can remove the old tint and install new tint tomorrow. C pillar interior panels didn't make it so I ordered new panels. Amazingly Volvo still has them available so I also ordered new A pillar panels as well. They weren't cheap... I is interesting to see the Air Curtain actuators and the strange cylinders on the seat belt reactors that must run the pretensioners. Tons of wiring under the back seat and area under and around the rear windows. I can only imagine the wiring nightmare this car must be! June

I washed the Silver Bullet ('00 V70) for the first time since spring, and it looked so good that I started looking up polishing compounds.

Of course, the 90-degree heat and sweltering humidity kept me indoors the rest of the day.
