I have noticed lately on my 96 850R, that the SRS Dummy light goes on for about a 1/2 second intermittently. Has anyone experienced this? Looking to find what the issue is and how to take care of it. Any help is appreciated.

Check the wiring and connectors under the seat for chaffed or worn wires.

Somebody pointed out here on MVS that 850 shouldn't throw srs light for seats,Neil.
S,V,C,XC70 should since they have different SIPS system.
Clock spring at steering wheel and dashboard could be the culprits.

Isn’t there an electrical connection at the seatbelt tongue receiver that talks To SRS?
