The reverse light of my 2005 V50, T5 manual, is not working. I have checked all the fuses and light bulbs for the reverse light, they all work fine.
I am now suspecting the reverse light switch is broken. The problem I have is that I don’t know where the reverse light switch is at, and how to get to it to do the repair.
I would be appreciated if someone can help me on this.
I also heard that the original switch is no longer available, but I can get a new replacement kit for the switch.
Thanks,
-Steve

Did you check fuse 79 and relay 2/80?
Relay 2/80 is for the Reversing lights.
Relay 2/80 and F79 are under the passenger side of the dash.

Thank you Rick!
I have checked F79 on a module under the passenger side dash. It was okay.
I am having trouble in finding relay 2/80 on the same module. I found a description of the 2/80 relay at location R2 in the V50 wiring manual. I don’t know where location R2 is at. Is it supposed to be on the same module as F79? Or is it the R2 relay in the engine compartment fuse box?

2/80 is in relay position 2 (R2) of the same Fuse/relay box as F79. The relay positions should be marked.

Sorry for my ignorance, just to be sure my understanding is correct: Relay 2/80 is a “soldered-down” component on the CEM circuit board inside the “under-the-dash” fuse/relay box. This relay is not one of those relays that I can unplug-and-replace with my hand.
If it turns out that I have to replace the CEM, I have to copy all the vehicle specific data from my original CEM to my new CEM.
Is my understanding above correct?
