Cruise Control Not working

My 2000 S70 the cruise control is not working.
Does it have a separate fuse or relay causing this issue.

If you recently reset the ECU or disconnected the battery you need to drive it for a bit.

If you have any wheel sensor or speed sensor errors, cruise will be shut off.

No stinking relays or vacuum pumps on fly by wire cars, it’s all just bits,

I have had this happen multiple times.
Things that fixed it for me (separate occasions):

- cleaning the MAF sensor
- cleaning the MAP sensor (this being dirty also caused 'studder' sometimes at cruising speed)
- cleaning the ABS sensors and rings (also had a ABS warning light lit up when this happened)

Maybe there are also other causes for it shutting of, but I don't know.
Are there any other symptoms (e.g. poor performance)?

Oh yeah. Fuse 6 in the main box worth checking but you would have a host of other stuff out too

A partially failing ETM will shut off the cruise circuit intermittently. I tested enough ETMs on my 2000 NA to know this.

Are you using Vida? Using Vida picks up the throttle codes and pinpoints the culprit.

Echoing mike, when my ETS light was on, cruise was inop. I think any logged ETM code will probably inhibit Cruise, too
